Scar Enhancement

Accidents and injuries can leave lasting scars and affect the texture and appearance of your skin, utilizing laser treatments to target scar tissue, reducing its appearance and promoting the growth of new, healthy skin, typically using treatments such as Morpheus8 and IPL. Treatments and regimens are decided on a case-by-case basis.
Scar enhancement focuses on improving the appearance of existing scars. While scars are permanent, their look and texture can be significantly refined through targeted treatments.
Goals:
- Reduce Scars: Using state-of-the-art methods to minimize the appearance of scars.
- Improve Skin Texture: Enhance the overall look and feel of your skin post accident.
Scar Refinement Program: Our Scar Refinement Program is designed to improve the look, texture, and pigmentation of existing scars using a customized treatment approach based on your skin type, scar characteristics, and healing response.
What our Scar Refinement program includes:
- Silicone-Based Therapy: Medical-grade silicone gels or sheets help hydrate the scar tissue, soften its appearance, and reduce thickness over time.
- Depigmenting Agents: Depigmenting agents target unwanted pigmentation or discoloration to help the scar blend more seamlessly with surrounding skin.
- Other Proprietary Products: Specially formulated products support skin regeneration and enhance the effectiveness of other treatments.
Additional treatments for an elevated approach:
Microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP): This technique uses a device equipped with fine needles to create micro-injuries in the scarred area, triggering natural collagen production. PRP, derived from the patient’s own blood, is applied to the area to enhance healing and improve overall texture and tone. Results may vary depending on individual biology and how your skin responds to PRP.
Morpheus8: This is an energy-based microneedling treatment, combining microneedling with radiofrequency energy to reach deeper layers of the skin. It helps refine scar tissue by stimulating collagen and elastin, leading to smoother, healthier-looking skin over time.
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light): This non-invasive treatment uses pulses of broad-spectrum light to target pigmentation in scars. It also promotes collagen production, which helps improve overall tone and texture.
Other Lasers: Depending on scar type and skin tone, other fractional or resurfacing lasers may be used to further smooth the skin’s surface and support regeneration.
The number of sessions may vary based on patient response.
Scar Revision

For patients with scars that are raised, wide, indented, or poorly healed, surgical scar revision may offer a more aesthetically pleasing result. The goal of scar revision is not to completely erase a scar, but to replace an unsightly or problematic scar with one that is thinner, flatter, and better aligned with the natural skin texture and contours.
This procedure is tailored to each patient and can be performed under local or general anesthesia, depending on the size and location of the scar, as well as the patient’s comfort and medical history.
Following surgical revision, patients are often enrolled in our Scar Enhancement Program to further improve the appearance of the revised scar.
Implant Deflations

Implant deflation can be a concerning and distressing experience for patients who have undergone breast augmentation or reconstruction. Implant deflation occurs when a breast implant loses its integrity, leading to a noticeable change in breast size and shape.
- Trauma or Injury: Physical impact can cause implants to rupture or leak.
- Sudden or gradual decrease in breast size
- Noticeable change in breast shape
- Uneven appearance of the breasts
- Possible discomfort or pain
Restore Symmetry: Achieve a balanced and natural appearance.
- Implant Replacement: The most common solution for implant deflation is to replace the deflated implant with a new one. Dr. Satey works with patients to select the appropriate size, type, and placement of the new implant to achieve the desired outcome.
- Revision Surgery or removal: In some cases, additional procedures may be necessary to address issues such as capsular contracture or changes in breast tissue. Dr. Satey offers revision surgery to ensure optimal results and restore a natural, balanced appearance.
Why Choose Dr. Sean Satey For Implant Deflation Treatment?
- Precise Surgical Techniques: Dr. Satey’s expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery ensures precise implant placement and natural-looking results.
- Minimal Scarring: Employing techniques that minimize scarring and promote faster healing.
- Comprehensive Post-Operative Care: Providing thorough post-operative care to monitor healing, address any concerns, and ensure a smooth recovery
Hernia Repair

Expert Hernia Repair Surgery To Ensure A Safe Recovery.
Dr. Satey is experienced in treating several types of hernias, using advanced techniques to ensure optimal outcomes:
- Groin Hernias: Also known as inguinal hernias, these occur in the lower abdomen near the groin area. They can cause pain and discomfort, especially during physical activity.
- Belly Button Hernias: Also known as umbilical hernias, these occur near the navel and are common in both children and adults. They often require surgical intervention to prevent complications.
- Ventral Hernias: These occur in the abdominal wall and can be caused by previous surgeries or congenital defects. Ventral hernias can lead to significant discomfort and may affect daily activities.
Repairs can be performed with or without the use of mesh, depending on the size and location of the hernia. This factor will be reviewed with Dr. Satey at the time of the consultation.
Wound Care

Effective wound care is essential for proper healing, especially in cases of chronic or complex wounds. Our comprehensive approach focuses on restoring skin integrity, reducing infection risk, and accelerating the body’s natural healing process.
Our wound care services include:
Local Wound Care: Thorough cleansing and management of the wounded area to maintain healthy healing.
Debridement: Removal of dead or non-viable tissue to promote healthy tissue growth and reduce the risk of infection.
Dressing Changes: Customized dressings are applied and changed regularly to keep the wound protected, hydrated, and clean.
Graft Placement (as needed): In cases where additional support is required, skin grafts may be used to aid tissue regeneration and close the wound more effectively.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy: PRP, derived from the patient’s own blood, is rich in growth factors that can significantly enhance the healing process. When applied to the wound, PRP can stimulate tissue repair and regeneration.
Because PRP is autologous (from the patient), healing responses may vary based on individual biology.
