Facelift
As we age, we tend to lose volume in our face due to loss of fat. This then begins a cascade effect where we develop laxity or looseness of the skin and loss of support from the underlying connective tissues and fibroseptal network.
To correct this, we have two options:
- Fillers and thread lifts. These are temporary solutions to restore volume and displace skin laxity! These can last anywhere from 1-3 years.
- Facelifts. This is the gold standard solution to eliminating lax/redundant skin.
A facelifts eliminates the lax and redundant skin of the face and neck, while contouring the neck and jawline through liposculpting.
The incisions are well hidden within natural creases and hairlines.
Neck Liposuction vs Neck Lift
These two procedures are often times confused with each other. Neck lipo addresses the adiposity (fat) while neck lift addressed the redundant skin.
Neck lipo is great for patients that have stubborn fat in their neck area! How this is done is through a well hidden, tiny incision, under the chin. We put in a tumescent (or numbing) solution and perform our VASER assisted liposculpting to remove the fat. Once completed, we tighten the skin with Renuvion J plasma or FaceTite.
And voila, we have a well defined jaw line with elimination of neck adiposity.
Now, if your issue is redundant or loose skin, a neck lift is required. This involves a well hidden incision around the ear and the posterior hair line. The excess skin is removed, adiposity is suctioned as necessary, and voila- a defined jaw line, elimination of neck skin redundancy and adiposity.
Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation
There are several ways to rejuvenate the face without undergoing surgery.
Fillers help fill voids, hydrate the face, and create a more youthful appearance. They’re coupled with neurotoxins (IE Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau) to help soften and eliminate dynamic wrinkles! If you start the process early enough, you may prevent the transformation of dynamic wrinkles into static wrinkles.
To address laxity in the skin, thread lifts are a great option. They help lift the skin and minimize the lax appearance. This can be done in the interim period of a facelift- for example, in the patient that isn’t quite ready for a face lift but has the appearance of lax skin.
What Are Thread Lifts?
As we age, we not only lose volume in our face but also develop laxity in our skin. We fix the former with volumizing products such as fillers. The latter is fixed with thread lifts or face lifts.
A face lift is a permanent correction procedure that involves an operation.
A thread lift is a non-surgical option that involves the displacement of skin laxity to an area that is less visible. It works by the insertion of a suture-like substance with tiny barbs. These barbs then hook onto the adjacent lax skin and reduce the lax appearance.
It is noteworthy to mention that the suture, and the barbs, are dissolvable.
The overall results last 2 years!
what is a lip lift?
The gold standard to volumizing the upper lip without repeated injections of fillers is a lip lift.
What the procedure does is remove excess and redundant skin and tissue at the base of your nose. This then allows the upper lip to pucker outward and unfurl itself….allowing for a fuller, plumper appearing upper lip.
The incision involved in this procedure is well hidden within natural folds and creases of the skin. This allows for an inconspicuous procedure with real, permanent results and minimal down time.
What's an Otoplasty?
If you are someone that has significant projection of your ears, there is a procedure that is called “otoplasty.”
What this procedure does is eliminate the extra skin and cartilage of the ear.
As a result, we get beautiful pinning of the ear to its normal anatomical position.
The key with this procedure is to ensure that too much skin and tissue isn’t removed.
Upper Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
An upper eyelid blepharoplasty addresses the hooding of extra skin underneath your eyebrow at the level of your upper eyelid!
What the surgery entails is the removal of excess skin through an inconspicuous incision within the natural crease of the upper eyelid.
My goal is to make the results as natural as possible!
Lower Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
A lower eyelid blepharoplasty addresses puffiness in the under-eye region!
The procedure itself is performed in a stealthy fashion!
The incision is well hidden within the conjunctiva of the lower eyelid. Fat pads are then removed and/or shifted to create a rejuvenated and well hydrated appearing aesthetic!
If there is excess skin, an inconspicuous incision is made in a natural skin crease and the redundancy is eliminated.
FAQ
What is the difference between a facelift and a lip lift?
A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that aims to rejuvenate the face by tightening the skin and underlying tissues, smoothing wrinkles, and lifting sagging areas.
On the other hand, a lip lift is a surgical procedure that specifically targets the upper lip area. It involves removing a small amount of skin from the area just below the nose, resulting in a shorter distance between the nose and the upper lip.
